Chelmsford Diving Club is a Competitive Diving Club. Training takes place at Riverside Ice & Leisure Centre, Victoria Road, Chelmsford. We train aspiring divers from beginner level to senior competition standard.

Olympic Success for Team GB Divers !
Congratulations to Team GB Divers Jack Laugher(3m individual silver and synchro gold) and Chris Mears (3m synchro gold) for their success in the 2016 Rio Olympics. We were delighted when they paid us a visit last year.
Team GB Divers pay us a visit - Very Special Trainig Session
Chelmsford Diving Club are proud to announce a special Club training session on Thursday 24th September at Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre.
This visit represents an amazing opportunity for Chelmsford's young divers to meet and train with world and commonwealth medallists - showing them just what they could achieve with hard work and dedication to their chosen sport.
Rebecca Gallantree and her teammates will be showing off their medals as well as dmonstrating some of their outstanding diving skills.
Rebecca Gallantree - Three-time Olympian (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016), World Championship gold medallist 2015, Commonwealth gold medallist 2014 (3m Synchro). Nine-times National Champion (including six individual titles on 3m springboard) Great Britain's first female diving world champion will be returning to the swimming pool where she learned to dive along with her Team GB teammates, all of whom competed at the recent World Diving Championships in Kazan.
Jack Laugher - Olympian (London 2012 and Rio 2016). Won 3m individual silver and synchro gold in Rio 2016. In 2014, Jack won three consecutive World Series medals before claiming 3m Springboard bronze at the FINA World Cup in Shanghai before winning two golds and a silver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He won three legs of the World Diving Series and two bronze medals at the recent World Championships.
Alicia Blagg - Olympian (London 2012 and Rio 2016). Commonwealth Games gold medallist – Glasgow 2014 (3m Synchro), Double European Junior Champion – 2013 (1m + 3m), five-times National Champion. In 2014 Alicia landed her first British 3m Springboard title then won her first international title teaming up with Rebecca to win Commonwealth gold in the 3m Synchro. Alicia is the current GB record holder for 1m and 3m Synchro (with Rebecca).
Chris Mears - Olympian (London 2012 and Rio 2016). Won 3m synchro gold in the Rio Olypics 2016 with Jack. Four-times National Champion. In 2014,teaming up with Jack in the 3m Synchro the pair wonthree World Series medals and gold for England at the Commonwealth Games. In 2015 Chris a bronze medal in the 3m Synchro (with Jack) at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan. Chris is the current GB record holder for 3m Synchro (with Jack).
Yona Knight-Wisdom - The entire Jamaican diving team! Yona had the choice of competing for his native Great Britain, his father's birthplace Jamaica, or his mother's birthplace Barbados. Yona competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, finishing in 7th place on the 3m Springboard, and 8th on 1m. He also competed in the recent 2015 World Championships in Kazan, finishing 19th on 1m and 37th on 3m.
James Denny - Commonwealth Games silver medallist, Glasgow 2014 (10m Synchro) and two-times National Champion. In 2014, winning his first senior British title with 3m Springboard gold, then claiming his first senior international medal, combining with Tom Daley for Platform Synchro silver on his Commonwealth debut. James competed in the recent 2015 World Championships in Kazan, finished 26th on 1m and 9th on Platform Synchro.
Mark Foster Visits Chelmsford Diving Club
The Join In sports volunteering charity held an event with Chelmsford Diving Club on the 27th February. Mark Foster the former GB, Commomwealth and World freestyle and butterfly champion met with the trainers and club members of all ages. After giving an introduction and Q and A session Mark took to the diving boards as well as swimmimg a couple of lengths in the pool (much to the delight of everyone in the viewing gallery). He signed autographs and had his picture taken with all the children and most of the adults too!
The event was captured on photo and video and will be used as part of the 'Little Things' film.

All our divers medal at Cheltenham
Six divers from Chelmsford Diving Club, took part in the Great Britain Diving Federation’s Novice/Intermediate competitions in Cheltenham.
All six returned home with medals for their events.
William Kerr, Aran Messenger, Jasmine Randall and Maisie Pearson all won Gold. James Colaco and Olivia Hales, received silver and bronze respectively.
